Dads birthday today,, wrote poem yesterday.,... so am posting.. notice all the errors? i'm in nbd.

My Dearest Papa,

Time, it seems, has wings,
It flies by unseen, unheard, untouched,
Over the plains, over the seas.
And all that it leaves behind
Are our memories.

Memories to be cherished,
To be locked away in our heart.
Memories of those who love us still,
Who've loved us from the start.

Memories of tiny fingers,
Clenched within your palm.
Of nights we spent beneath the stars,
Over an ocean calm.
Of all the questions i would ask,
Only to ask more.
And how you sat there patiently,
Answering them forever more.

Memories of the joy that ran through me
Each time tou came back home.
From years spent out at sea
Years spent alone.

I may not be there to greet you today,
To celebrate this day with food and wine,
But I shall always have your memories
And you shall have mine.
